Foreign Ministry performance defendable: analyst

TEHRAN - A political affairs analyst has said the records of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs are “positive and defendable”.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif undertook breaking a psychological war that was raging against Iran and he was successful in doing so, Heshmatollah Falahat-Pisheh told the ILNA news agency on Saturday.

“Zarif and the negotiation team have left a good record,” he underlined.

He urged political parties to refrain from making destructive, unfair criticism of the Foreign Ministry for its diplomatic efforts in the course of the nuclear talks.

Falahat-Pisheh, who used to be a member of the parliament during the previous Majlis term, said the Foreign Ministry’s biggest challenge would be if the U.S. does not keep its promises related to the nuclear deal.
